Prior to joining Whittel & Melton, Ms. Cadavieco served as an Assistant State Attorney in Hernando County, Florida. Ms. Cadavieco tried a variety of both misdemeanor and felony cases to verdict, ranging from DUI and Drug Possession cases to life felonies. During her time at the State Attorney's Office, Ms. Cadavieco completed the Gerald T. Bennett Prosecutor/ Public Defender Trial Training Program held at the University of Florida Levin College of Law in Gainesville, Florida where she received rigid training from among the best and most experienced prosecutors, defense attorneys, and judges in the State of Florida.
During law school, Ms. Cadavieco worked full time as a legal assistant in a law firm specializing in litigation, where she conducted legal research, drafted and prepared pleadings, and participated in every aspect of each case in preparation for hearings and trials. After graduation, she accepted a position as an associate with that firm.
Before law school, Ms. Cadavieco worked as a legal assistant at the Hillsborough County Public Defender's Officer for three years, and was involved in each case by preparing discovery demands, reviewing discovery and communicating with clients. Having graduated Cum Laude with a major in Criminology, and having worked in the legal field since she was 18 years old, she brought knowledge and experience to the office that ultimately drove her desire to continue her education and pursue passionate representation of her clients.
